What stays on your device

Ingredient label photos, OCR-extracted text, your edits during review, and the analysis results that follow are processed on the device that ran the scan. Under default settings none of this content is transmitted to our servers.

What is stored in the cloud

• Account. The email address you signed in with and a session record for keeping you signed in.
• Target lists. The allergens and ingredients you choose to track. Stored under your account so they sync across devices.
• Curated regulatory dataset. A read-only mirror of the EWG / CosIng / EU data we ship in each release. It is not specific to you.

What we do not collect

We do not log the contents of scans, the products you analyzed, the matches that were generated, or the reports you exported. There is no third-party analytics or tracking on IngredientGuardian under default settings.

Right to erasure

You can delete your account and everything stored under it at any time from your profile page. Deletion is immediate and irreversible: your user record, sign-in sessions, family member profiles, and target ingredient lists are all removed in a single transaction; the email address becomes available to register a fresh account right away. We send a plain-text receipt to confirm. There is no recovery copy, so think twice before confirming.
